How my interest developed
Hi! I’m Hamza Raza, a Freshman at the College of Wooster in Ohio and the founder of SproutingBiz. Since the age of 12, I have been immersed in a plethora of business narratives shared by my parents, who are entrepreneurs and business executives with extensive experience across various enterprises. Our dinner table conversations often revolved around deliberations on acquiring real estate investment properties or evaluating existing businesses for potential investment opportunities or strategies for business enhancement. This early exposure became my firsthand introduction to the dynamic world of business. Subsequently, I expanded my understanding by avidly watching TV shows such as Shark Tank, Property Brothers, and The Profit.
Diving deeper into college courses
Recognizing a lack of quality resources or courses on business at the middle or high school level, I sought to enhance my understanding of the business world. This opportunity materialized during the summer after my sophomore year in high school when I enrolled in a formal business course for college credit at Cornell University. The knowledge I acquired during this program proved invaluable. Expanding upon this enriching experience, I furthered my pursuit of business knowledge in the subsequent summer by enrolling in additional college credit courses at both Cornell and Wharton. Presently, I continue to advance my understanding of business at the College of Wooster.
Why I created this website?
I yearn for the opportunity to have acquired this knowledge earlier, ideally during my middle school or early high school years. Such early exposure would have facilitated a deeper understanding of the business topics discussed at home and depicted in various TV shows. Faced with the absence of accessible and comprehensive resources or courses for middle school students, I took the initiative to establish a platform for young entrepreneurs, aiming to provide them with the tools to comprehend the intricacies of the business world.
